Empowering Second and Third Turn Leaders
The Sage Group Collective offers peer-based advising for complex leadership opportunities and challenges.
Rarely can you time your most significant and complex opportunities and challenges. They come unbidden, between meetings of advisory teams and fiduciary boards, and as adaptive changes not yet supported by AI engines. As accomplished as your colleagues are, and as wide-ranging as an AI query can be, they might not have the needed expertise, make intuitive leaps they can back up with data, or accurately and rapidly read your context.
The Sage Group Collective provides a curated, expert, and widely connected panel within days of your brief application, convening with you and your team as we think through the approach, navigate the many complications, and identify your best possible next steps.
Our world-class Facilitators help you prepare to present your case to a panel of our Members. The Case Conversation is an intensive, cost-effective, fast-moving, resource-rich 90-minute session. Any follow-up is yours to determine as this is a consultation, not a means to sell services.

The Chris Harrison Award
Mr. Chris Harrison was the first person to join the Sage Group Collective as a Founding Member. He was an enthusiast and a deep encouragement for this approach. It is a loss to everyone that his far-reaching and wise perspective is no longer part of the Collective.
The Chris Harrison award honors his memory: a matching grant for a nonprofit/NGO. Once a year, the Collective will match the funds raised by a qualified recipient to cover half the cost of a Case Conversation.
To receive an application, please contact us via email here.

The Collective is especially for Second and Third Turn Leaders who are focused on high-stakes events such as succession, M&A, ESOP conversion, or rapid scaling.
Who established the Sage Group Collective?
The Sage Group and Teall Vincent Enterprises established The Sage Group Collective. The Sage Group Collective, limited to thirty carefully selected and curated executive leaders and Three Case Conversation Facilitators, selects its members and guides Case Conversations.
What if we need to cancel or withdraw?
- If you need to withdraw from the process, a 50% refund is available upon written notice, if sent to us at least five business days (we don't count Saturday or Sunday among the five days) before your scheduled Case Conversation date.
What does the Sage Group Collective Do?
- The Collective offers: ➡️ Tailored advisory sessions using a structured case conversation methodology ➡️ Access to a distinguished network of trusted advisors. ➡️ Confidential, peer-based feedback. ➡️ Optional services, including board service and follow-up consultation.
how are the Members of the Sage Group Collective Selected?
- Members are selected for their character, experience, and cross-sector excellence. They are described in the founding documents as:
- ☑️ Respected for their character and ethical commitment. ☑️ Broadly experienced and accomplished. ☑️ Possessing a storied career journey, having reached the top of their field. The make-up includes CEOs, Legal experts, branding strategists, NGO leaders, and fintech veterans
How is a Case Conversation different from other forms of Peer-Based Advising?
- Unlike traditional mastermind groups (like C12, YPO, or Vistage) which focus on long-term, ongoing business development, the Sage Group Collective is designed to provide a direct, immediate, and intensive result. The Case Conversation focuses on you specifically! It is a resource for executives who require focused, high-impact counsel for a specific, pivotal "value event" rather than continuous development.
Can I speak with someone about whether my opportunity or challenge is enough to bring as a Case presentation?
- Yes. A key part of the process is a 1:1 prep session with a Facilitator. This session prepares a polish on framing the issue and coaches you in preparation for the case presentation. This is the ideal time to discuss and strengthen the suitability of your case.
How is my confidentiality protected?
- Confidentiality is a non-negotiable cornerstone of the Sage Group Collective. All conversations, documents, and case presentations are considered strictly confidential. Members and Founding Members agree not to disclose or use any shared information outside of their role in the Collective.
-
- Furthermore, you may request a separate Non-Disclosure Understanding (NDU) to provide an extra layer of protection for the information you present.
can I correspond with someone who presented a case to the Sage Group Collective?
- All conversations, documents, and Case Presentations within the Collective are considered strictly confidential. The members and Founding Members agree not to disclose or use any shared information for purposes outside the Collective, which creates a substantial barrier to connecting outside parties with past Case Conversation Presenters.
-
- Our interest is in connecting leaders with the resources they need. If we connect you with a previous Case Presenter, it is because we think it is a mutually valuable connection to make, and because they have agreed to speak with you.
What can I expect in my case conversation?
- The Case Process follows a structured timeline: ➡️ Application & Prep: You apply online with a case summary and pay the fee (50% is nonrefundable). This must be done a minimum of two weeks prior to the session. You then have a prep session with a Facilitator to polish the issue's framing. ➡️ Presentation: You participate in a 90-minute structured dialogue (the Case Conversation) with the Collective members. ➡️ Follow-Up: You receive a written synthesis and recommendations within 24 hours of the presentation. ➡️ Liability: As part of the application process, you provide a waiver acknowledging you are responsible for any decisions made based on the advice received.
What is the return on my investment?
- A Case Presentation is valued as an intensive experience that provides: ➡️ Clarity for a game-changing leadership moment, business challenge, or transformational opportunity through a structured, focused, high-impact, guided conversation ➡️ A written synthesis and recommendations are delivered within 24 hours. ➡️ Offering of perspective that considers the whole system (the combined enterprise, vocational call, and personal/ financial well-being of the executive).
- The standard investment for a Case Presentation is currently $9,000, with discounts available for repeat clients or endorsements. We enjoy working with transformational opportunities and challenges with an upside of at least 100x.
What sort of follow up is available after the Case Conversation?
-
- The goal is to provide immediate, high-impact clarity, but relationships with Collective Members doesn't have to end there. You have access to a cultivated network that can lead to additional possibilities:
-
- ➡️ Request for Consultation: You can request additional consultation and advising from a Collective Member, which would grow out of your initial session.
- ➡️ Board Service: You can request a Member or Founding Member for compensated board service during your path to a value event (like succession or M&A).
- Any subsequent consulting agreement would be made directly between you/your organization and the individual Member, with nothing further owed to the Sage Group Collective itself.
